1994 20" Kona Hot that I picked up last year. It's been fun to have a SS MTB around, but it just has too much overlap with a Bontrager Race that I've already built up. I'm itching for a new project and have to abide by the "one bike in, one bike out" rule. Details below:

Frame - 1994 Kona Hot 20" frame built by Tom Teesdale. From what I gather, Kona's higher end frames from this era were handmade by different builders, Tom Teesdale of TET Cycles built this one, the BB shell bears his insignia (TET) next to the serial. Below is a link to the catalog from that year with more info on geometry, tubing, etc. Highlights: mix of Tange Ultimate, Concept and Prestige tubing, which includes a unique "fluted" downtube, 27.2 seatpost, 1 1/8" headtube. The frame was cracked at the head/down tube juncture and repaired with an added gusset for increased protection, and re-powdercoated blue. Also included is an original wrap-around seat tube cable stop and seat binder from a thrift-store Kona Explosif find a few months ago.

This is a 20" based on my comparison with the catalog geometry. I'm measuring a 20" seat tube center to top, and a 58cm actual center to center TT. Standover is 30", which matches the catalog listing, with the Schwalbe Thunder Burt tires. I paired this with a 110mm Thomson stem and it fit me great (I'm 5'11)

Fork - Custom triple butted uni-crown by Joel Greenblatt of Clockwork Cycles. I bought the bike with a Surly 1x1 fork (long gone) but asked Joel Greenblatt if he could build me a fork that was as close to the Kona P2 fork this originally came with and with the correct a-c. He did an amazing job. The color of the fork is just slightly off from the frame, but its hard to tell unless you're looking for it. Pics of his work are up in the album I made. Some details of the fork:

1 1/8" Threadless
410mm Axle to Crown
1.6in (406.4mm) Fork Offset
Tapered, straight fork blades, internally butted (1.2-1.0-0.8)
Standard 100mm OD, QR Skewer

Headset - Chris King Black NoThreadSet

Happy to send more pics if you'd like.
