I purchased this immaculate time capsule of a tandem from the original owners via consignment from a friend/shop manager who had originally sold them the tandem new. It has a number of custom options/features from Ibis, as well as a slew of modernized, high-end parts that I purchased and installed. I had big hopes of getting my wife out riding more, but we only rode it twice since we purchased it, with less than 30 miles on all of the new parts. Here's the thread I started when I bought it: https://forums.mtbr.com/vintage-retr...m-1074002.html

This is a beautifully-spec'd bike that would be perfect for gravel riding and/or touring. The beauty of Ibis "road" bikes is that they also used 26" wheels, which means you could easily hit some single track with these or more aggressive mountain tires.

The optional (spendy) splatter-paint is a great touch, and a snap-shot out of the early '90s. The frame pump, and both original stems are also painted to match.
