Up for grabs is a fully upgraded Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt 799 MSL. This is the same bike picked by Bike magazine's Bible of Bike Test as THE trail bike of the year. I have multiple bikes, and this bike has seen limited use.

The Parts Spec

- Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt 799 MSL, size large, yellow and black, carbon

- Rock Shox Pike with 120-160mm travel range

- SRAM XO brakes front and rear

- SRAM XO derailleur and shifters

- Fox CTD shock with optional Avalanche tuned 2016 Monarch Plus RC3 Debon Air Shock

- Easton Haven carbon bars

- Easton Haven stem

- Easton Haven carbon seatpost

- Easton Haven 650B/27.5 wheelset

- New tires, new cassette, new chain, new chainring, new derailleur pulleys, new cables and housing

The Competition

This bike is often compared to, and determined to prevail over the Santa Cruz 5010, Santa Cruz Bronson, Rocky Mountain Altitude, Giant Anthem, Yeti SB6 / SB6C, Trek Remedy, Evil Following.

This bike retails for over $10,000. Seriously, this is less than half of that, and it's been upgraded with fancy parts and carbon everywhere. I live in Bend, and travel to Portland often.
