For Sale is a Salsa Horsethief FS xc/am, but more "fun" xc build.
You will not find one out there like this. And it's is excellent condition with very low - less than 200 - miles.
I bought the frame and rear monarch debonair from dealer. We built the rest up and she is a beaut. The only, and I mean only "issue" is that one ride I made the boneheaded decision to strap a water bottle to the top tube using a backcountry gear strap. It "scuffed" the coat. Absolutely no structural damage, and I placed some clear carbon protectant tape over it and it is unnoticeable.
Fork: 120mm Rock Shox Reba. Not the beefiest but does the job for a XC fork and the wheelset (listed below) cover any weaknesses. Purchased brand new - 200 miles.
Crank - Sram X1 32 T1 Boost 148 spacing
Shifter, Brakes, Cassette - All Shimano XT - all purchased brand new - cassette 11-42, rotors upgraded
Cockpit - 70mm Nine RDO Stem, Niner RDO Carbon 31.6 post, Bontrager pro Carbon riser bar, Ergon GE 1 grips, Specialized saddle.
Wheels - Industry 9 Backcounty 450 Boost 148 rear, 100 front, but "Boostinator" installed from i9, wheel dished by LBS, so front is now boost as well! I bought this wheel for a 29 Trek I had, but bough this Horsethief because the wheelset fit so well. It makes this whole package come together. This was not a cheap wheelset, and may have 250 miles TOPS!!!
I'm having to take some time away for a surgery, Take a look at my saddle and you can figure out what's up. Anyway, delivery to ATL, Certain locations in the Carolinas, Alabama, and Florida Panhandle can be arranged. This bike is excellent, and you cannot buy it as currently configured anywhere!
