I am selling my super sweet XC, single speed, hard tail, hand made, custom painted, Ventana mountain bike. Seriously, this thing is cool and well thought out. I pretty much hand selected each and every part of this thing over the last couple of years and put it together piece by piece. I am an old cross country rider who can't/doesn't jump so it is definitely not beat up. No extreme anything ridden except putting on a bunch of single track miles. It is in phenomenal shape and is ridiculous for flowy single track and rolling hills. Descends like a champ with the slack head angle and with the fork in 120mm, and climbs and tucks great in 90mm mode. No scratches whatsoever on any part of the fork. All the King stuff makes it really efficient and pretty light in all riding areas, especially the ceramic BB. The chain and ring are fairly new and have no stretch, I just checked with my gauge. The only wear to comment on is the drive side chain stay where my right shoe rubs on the pedal stroke. Paint is worn through but that's it. The rest of the powder coat paint is flawless, not even any cable rub (the color matches many shades of dust/mud. "Matte champagne" is the official Ventana color, this was the first bike they did in this color. Perfect choice!). This bike is one of a kind, designed for great single speeding and I outfitted it to be playful and fun on the descent. Please check out the pics and specs and don't hesitate to ask me any questions. There is nothing else this fun or nice out there. I am selling because it's time to go in another direction, possibly geared, ugh. Thanks and you will enjoy this bike. Asking $3500. Reasonable offers maybe, please don't low ball. Thanks. Not really willing to part this out unless you want most of it. Proceeds are going towards my next project bike. Thanks. This is my second camber in three years. I have predominately been using the bike as a marathon race bike and have been really happy in its performance on the trail and over long distances. The carbon wheels make a huge difference in the weight of the bike and the overall feel and responsiveness. I use to go through at least a rear wheel a season and have not had that problem since switching to carbon, these are solid. The chain, cassette and front small ring only have about 300 miles or so on them. Went on at the first of August/ end of July. The fork had an oil change and new seals at the beginning of the summer after an Oregon winter. The bike has the normal scratches and dings from use, but not on the frame, the cranks, wheel decals, rear derailleur etc have some rock chips etc. The fork has some rub marks from the Kuat rack I was using. Full suspension trail fat bike. Beautiful bike in excellent condition. I have two other mtb's to ride, one being a fatbike, so not many rides on the Bucksaw. New Shimano SLX brakes and XT discs. New rear XT derail and shifter and XT 11-36 cassette. Currently 1x with a 24t narrow-wide Raceface chainring and bash guard. This is the way Rocky Mountain builds their fat bike, the Blizzard, and I have been very happy with this set up. A used XT front derail and shifter will be included in the sale if you want to go 2x. Stock Sram crank and BB. Cane Creek headset. Stock 100mm Bluto. Stock Salsa wheels--Marge light rims with Salsa hubs. Lighter than stock Kenda tubes. Stock Surly Nate on front for nice grip. Panaracer Fat B Nimble on rear for faster rolling. New Raceface post and New WTB saddle. I am selling with the Bucksaw with stock stem and bars. I rode with a shorter/wider, of course, that’s rider preference. I have had a blast on the Bucksaw the times I’ve taken her out. I do fall when I ride, but I have not fallen on this bike. Some cable rub, a mark on the bb shell where I dropped the chain before installing the narrow wide chainring; One small chip near the headset about the size of a sharpie tip. Other than this the bike looks new, and rides better than new (in my opinion) due to the changes in drivetrain, brakes, tire and tubes. $2900 Thanks, Daniel. Pictures to come. Hoping for localish sale, but will ship too. I am willing to sell some of the drivetrain parts too if the buyer is interested. I made a huge mistake in buying a medium frame, it is just too small for me. I need a longer seat tube for proper leg extension. The frame and parts are in excellent shape. If I had to estimate, I have only used the bike on the trail about 7 times. I bought the complete bike new in 2013. It has literally been sitting in my closet for much of that time. There are a few light marks on the frame (mainly from the showroom and cable rub), but it does not have any real scratches or dings. The bike was never really crashed and not ridden hard at all. *Please read the description of what parts are included with the frame carefully. *I am willing to answer any questions, but please, only serious inquiries. *I can provide more pictures if needed. *Payment will most likely be worked out through PayPal. It is listed as NEW, as it has less than 20 miles on it. All parts installed on the bike were purchased new. Everything is in mint condition and is mechanically perfect and working as it should. The frame is Size 19/14. I am 6' tall and my Wife is 5' 2" and the bike fit both of us perfectly with some room for adjustment, especially in the rear. This bike was built just a few weeks ago from the ground up and put together piece by piece with some of the best components available. Unfortunately, my Wife isn't into it and it looks weird if I just ride it by I am not desperate to sell it fast, so please don't make ridiculous low ball offers. I know what this bike is worth and I am looking to sell it to somebody who understands what they are looking at and can appreciate such an awesome machine. I would prefer to sell it locally to avoid the hassle of partial disassembly & shipping, but I will sell it anywhere within the USA if needed. Expect to pay about $150 in labor costs to have it professionally disassembled & packaged by my local bike shop for shipping, then around $200-$250 or so in UPS Ground shipping costs. Again, these are just estimates depending on where you live, etc... Regardless, I will list the shipping at $350 to include the labor to package it and the UPS charges as well, but please be flexible with me as I will check the UPS charges once I have your zip code, etc. If you live out of state and have a friend or family member near San Diego, CA that you want to inspect the bike or a neutral 3rd party bike shop, I would be happy to provide the bike for inspection as I can appreciate such a large purchase being made sight unseen. The rear shock is the all new Cane Creek DB Inline. I put a Fox decal on it to match the Fox decals on the front fork. This shock comes from Ventana with the frame and it retails for $550 by itself. The name of my Wife and I (John & Chai) decals that are on the top tube of the frame can simply be pulled off the frame and they will be before it ships. They are not painted on and there is no clear coat over them. There is some very small scratches on the front seat tube mast. View the last picture to see a close up of it. I've listed all the details below about the build, including the costs I paid. If you have any additional questions, just ask. I was able to run my tire pressure around 20 psi (I weigh 145 lbs and I almost never pinch flatted. Hope Pro 2 quick release 135mm rear and 15mm axle for front wheel. The front rim in perfect condition and the rear has one small dent and I tried to photograph it. I saw 142mm conversion kits on ebay for about $20. These are 26" wheels and the Maxxis ardent and crossmark tires are included. Sram XD driver for 11x cassette's pictured. I also have the Shimano driver (pictured separately) I can put on there if you want shimano. One note: I misread some instructions on the Stans site and drilled out the valve stem hole on the front rim. It never affected anything as I ran tubes the whole time. Stans assured me tubeless setup was still possible. But I just wanted to let you know so there wasn't any surprises for the buyer. I bit the bullet on the baddest ass full suspension bike available in July and have enjoyed it immensely, however I am a single-speed rider at heart and this bike is simply too much bike for me. This build came in originally at 23.6lbs! It has top of the line components throughout, including the new DT Swiss XR 1501 Spline ONE wheels which are light and stiff as carbon wheels with upgraded 36 tooth ratchet drive. It can be a cross country whip or a burly trail bike depending on how you feel on the day. This is the Trailcrew version which has a 120mm Fox Float up front and a Reverb Stealth dropper (which i love!). My upgrades include custom clear matte Framesaver protective wrap on frame & cranks applied when it was pristine new, New Specialized Phenom saddle, Nobby Nic 29 X 2.35 Trailstar tubeless tires (new as of 3.2015), upgraded new design Avid Centerline rotors (howl free!). I flipped the reverb dropper button to the underside of left handlebar to prevent damage if bike needs to be turned upside down for trail service. Bike probably has about 150-175 miles on it and is in perfect shape with nary a scuff. If in So-Cal, come to test drive. Pedals not included. If you need more info or actual photos write me at: KRIS AT BACKYARD DOT COM. This bike cost an arm and leg! I am not motivated to sell, however if you give me a decent offer, I will consider it. BMC Website (this is the100mm version, mine is the Trailcrew with 120mm fork and Reverb dropper): BikeRadar Review: from web: Fast: In all-carbon guise, the full-suspension fourstroke's big 29er wheels roll smoother and faster. Thanks to our BWC geometry, the bike feels agile and nimble, letting you effortlessly pick your way through steep, sinuous single track. For high speeds, the low bottom bracket, long top tube, and relaxed head angle work together to keep the bike stable and, above all, the rider confident. Efficient: The FS01 is designed to dance within the 2kg frame weight barrier making it lighter than just about anything else in its category. But the feathery weight does not detract from the ride, thanks to an optimized carbon fiber design, featuring an oversized down tube, tapered 1 1/8" to 1 1/2" headset, unified rear triangle, and 12mm x 142mm thru-axle. This all works in concert to keep the bike torsionally rigid for steering precision, and laterally rigid for power transfer. Our APS (Advanced Pivot System) suspension, specifically refined for big wheels in conjunction with our BWC, provides the perfect balance of comfort, control and efficiency. Capable: True to our Swiss way of thinking, BMC likes bikes that have the tools to take on everything - and do everything well. Our fourstroke platform is designed just for this: Combining the big wheels, stable geometry, high torsional stiffness and APS suspension.BMC's fourstroke range is capable of overcoming any obstacle, whether that's challenging terrain or marathon distance. Don't ever back down, just ride on. Mountain bike, bought new in 1989 and custom built by Velomeister in Los Gatos, all components are from that era and are in great shape. This bike has been ridden a lot in its day, but very well maintained, one of my first mountain bikes when I was living in Gatos, great bike for its time! I don't really ride it much anymore and was keeping more for nostalgic reasons, but I have too many bikes (and so does my son) so I am ready to let it go. I don't really know how much to ask for it, I know what I paid, which was a lot back then and is probably still worth something today by name alone. Ultimately I would like to see it go to someone that respects the fact that this one of the first real mountain bikes made by one of the original mountain bike builders, Joe Breeze and Fred Schliplin!
